Worksite Criteria

  • Gain senior management support
  • Establish and lead a wellness team and hold a minimum of four wellness team meetings
  • Develop and implement annual operating plan based on assessment tools
  • Carry out annual health screening achieving site participation criteria
  • Carry out one health promotion campaign per year achieving site participation criteria
  • Perform related marketing and communication duties according to schedule and deadlines (i.e. post flyers, posters, bulletin boards)
  • Attend annual Worksite Coordinator Training
  • Meet and communicate with Health Promotion Consultant as appropriate
  • Correspond as needed with all parties involved via E-mail, telephone and other written communications

Senior Management Criteria

  • Create and support worksite coordinator position
  • Approve an average of four hours per week to be spent by the assigned worksite coordinator on wellness program activities
  • Provide in-kind services such as fax, copier, phone, e-mail for wellnessrelated projects, etc.
  • Letter of administrative support of the wellness program accompanied by application
  • Allow Worksite Coordinator to attend the annual Worksite Coordinator Training (at worksite expense)
  • Approve health promotion policies (i.e. smoke free workplace, offer healthy food options)
  • Support and encourage employee participation in wellness related activities
  • Participate in program activities (i.e. annual health screening, one annual campaign, etc.) and educational programs
